Antique Qashqai Rug

Beautiful antique Qashqai accent rug with warm and subdued rusty shades. Almost no part of the rug's surface is a solid color, as there are geometric lines and patterns breaking up the design and adding a "night-sky-like depth" to your floor.

The Qashqai rugs are essentially in the same family as the Heriz rugs, though Qashqais are made with simpler nomadic tools as opposed to big city production.

As it's old, the pile is worn very short in most places, but none of the detail is lost. The rug has a little repair and some of the middle section of overcasting is loose on both side (see pictures). The fringes are also worn short.
